60대 후반의 나이에 현장을 누비고 다니는 반백의 현역 언론인. 치학신문 박종운 편집국장이다.

치과 언론계의 마당발이자 최고참 기자다.

유튜버로도 왕성하게 활동한다.

그가 운영하는 유튜브채널 '덴탈뉴스코리아'(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB-da9UYJTC5fY0l9eQkw_A)를 검색하면 어림잡아 1000개의 동영상이 노출된다.

그는 1980년 언론계에 입문하여 지금까지 활동하고 있다.

언론경력이 자그마치 42년째다.

박종운 국장은 한때 출판사도 운영했다.

출판사 운영당시 출간한 책은 60여권.

하지만 출판 불황으로 출판사를 정리하고 언론인으로 컴백하여 현장을 종횡무진하고 있다.

미국에 백발의 현역기자가 있다면 한국에 60대 후반의 현역 박종운 기자가 있다.
